BSCI is an initiative of the Foreign Trade Association (FTA). All BSCI participants are also FTA members and share the FTA vision of “Free Trade. Sustainable Trade”. To fulfil this vision, BSCI has been given specific governance bodies through which BSCI companies are invited to actively take part, to develop and implement an excellent system for improved working conditions in the global supply chain.
FSC runs a global forest certification system with two key components:

**Chain of Custody
FSC also licenses retailers and other end users to promote FSC labelled products, without holding FSC certification.
This system allows consumers to identify, purchase and use wood, paper and other forest products produced from well-managed forests and/or recycled materials.
Wilkinson gains increased communication and collaboration with trading partners to lower costs and improve the performance and the quality of their goods.
Wilkinson no longer has to worry about managing their supplier database through various spreadsheets and programs - with TradeStone they have visibility for the first time on compliance, regulations and supplier report cards. The retailer now has greater control over the audit process and the ability to evaluate their factories and thoroughly vet the quality of their vendors.
Social accountability audit:
Our goal is three fold:
Validate the manufacturer information we have on record represents the actual manufacturing facility and not a business office or warehouse.
Work with the foreign suppliers and bring them to an acceptable level of operations for the TSC business. This includes components of social responsibility, environmental responsibility, quality assurance, and compliance with the local and country laws.
Ensure we have compliant products that meet all U.S. Federal and State regulations.
